Over the years, Cap Sante Marine has done numerous hull and keel repairs. Any repairs to the keel must be as strong than the surrounding keel, with proper lay up techinques for permanent repair and a perfect finish . One tell-tale sign of keel damage is water weeping from the keel when the boat is sitting on the ground.

Freezing water that is trrapped inside of the hull will exacerbate the problem as the water expands causing even more damage. Keep in mind that if water is getting out while the boat is on the ground – it is a sure bet that it is getting in when the boat is in the water. Never repair large areas with just filler alone. Because resin has no inherient strength,

a proper repair to a larger area will require layers of glass to achive the same surface depth and strength as the surrounding area (fiberglass hulls)..

At Cap Sante Marine, our objective is to repair your hull and keel to its former strength and beauty... unless of course, you would like us to improve upon the original.
